Akshay Kumar welcomed New Year with wife Twinkle Khanna and daughter Nitara in the Maldives
It's New Year and many celebrities took to Instagram to extend wishes and share how they celebrated the first day of the year. Akshay Kumar, who is currently vacationing with wife Twinkle Khanna and daughter Nitara in the Maldives, shared a video to show how he welcomed the new year with the Gayatri Mantra.
In the video shared by him, he is seen standing outside his cottage in the oceans, facing the sun with his back towards the camera and reciting the Gayatri Mantra.
Sharing the video, Akshay wrote in the caption, "New year, same me. Woke up and greeted by old friend, the sun and started my 2022 with all things positive except for Covid.. Praying for everyone's good health and happiness. Happy New Year!" Fans dropped heart emojis on the post. On December 29, Akshay shared a picture with wife Twinkle and penned a sweet birthday note for her. The actor wrote, "With you by my side, even the blues are easy to take in my stride... Happy birthday Tina."
On the work front, last year, Akshay was last seen in Bell Bottom, Sooryavanshi and Atrangi Re. Aanand L Rai's Atrangi Re which also starred Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush had an OTT release. The movie received an amazing response. Akshay essayed the role of a magician in the film and won hearts with his spectacular performance.
